Craigslist Killer Suspect Dumped By Fiancee

2009_04_phimeg.jpg Megan McAllister, the NJ woman engaged to suspected Craigslist killer Philip Markoff, is moving on with her life. She was spotted visiting him at his jail yesterday—without her engagement ring—and her lawyer said the two had a "candid, frank" talk and that "it's time to move on with other things in her life." McAllister, who met Markoff while they were students at SUNY Albany, had previously made public statements standing by Markoff and continued to, sort of: Her lawyer said this morning, "I think she feels that she’s supportive of him. The man that she knew and loved for four years is not the man that’s being portrayed in the media." Like how her fiancee allegedly looked for gays and transgender people, too?

no duh sherlock! i wonder if any her "collection" is missing? lol

  • I had the exact opposite reaction as moocow. Why she didn't dump him as soon as the detectives uttered the words, "Your fiance has been arrested on suspicion of..." is baffling.

Well. Moocow is just a stupid cow.

  • sexisicilian

Who gets the ring?! Maybe he can hock it to pay for his legal bills ... hahaha

She'll have a reality tv show before year's end.

"Fiancee" (with two e's) refers to a female. The male version is "fiance" (one e.)

  • Spirit of 76

Mostly true, but to be a true pedant, you have to note that it's fiancée and fiancé.

  • babyhitler

not the way rednecks spell it.

  • Steven

She wasn't good enough in the bed so he had to find pleasure in something else.

  • babyhitler

Yeah, finding out your fiancee is jack the ripper is kind of a dealbreaker.

  • jackdonaghy

    What took so long, honey?

  • WesTheYeTi

Regardless of how overwhelming the evidence may be, I feel like she's bailing to get out of the storm. I mean, won't she feel like shit on the off chance he's acquitted?

  • Bottomless Chips

Sounds like this guy has been telling his friends and family that he did it---not implicitly, though.

  • Global Wombat

Considering all the evidence that has supposedly piled up on this guy, I'd say he's dumb enough to bury himself deeper into the ground.

  • moocowtoo

I really didn't think she would come around this fast, kudos to her!
