No map is going to make your commute any easier, but this new Triptrop subway map makes it a lot more vibrant. The creator tells us, "you put in an address in New York and it overlays a map of how long it takes to get anywhere else in the city via subway and walking," and you can even compare two different starting points. We suggest looking at it from the satellite view, which is oh-so-pretty.

Sorry there
I put in my address in Woodlawn in the Bronx
and no my commute to east midtown doesn't take 90 minutes, its less than an hour door to door.
Sorry try again.
maybe i'm not getting this, but its telling me i can get from east williamsburg to lower manhattan in 10 minutes? is this map for helicopters or public transit?
So basically the entire city if 90-120 minutes from Staten Island. I beg to differ.
These kind of trip / distance calculator websites have never applied to Roosevelt Island. I am not sure why I keep trying to see if one works.

The estimates for me were about 10m extra across the board than reality, but not too far off.
I started playing some more with various destinations and I must modify my comment as the times are not as far off as I first encountered.
all these bright colors are making me giggly.
Um, this already exists: www.google.com/transit
90 minutes to LGA from East Flushing? Haha no
yeah, bad.....does this even take into consideration walking to and from trains? at least for PPW all it does is circles of increasing length...duh.
I just tried it out and it was pretty accurate for an East Village address... it's a great idea.
some places are as far as time traveling into the past.
Neat! It'd be cool if it included the PATH too.
Wow, this is so inaccurate on anything outside of the 15-20min range. 2 hours from Astoria to JFK? Sorry, but not even close. Try like, 1 hour.
Nice! Seems pretty accurate to me.
I tried a few locations in Manhattan and they were all accurate within a few minutes.
Wish there was an option for different times of the day or days of the week, but I'll take this for getting a general idea.
