Sign on 118th St. by Gothamist
The sign says it all. The weather doesn't get much better than a sunny and 70 degree April day. Or does it? The air is bone dry and the wind is going to pick up later, leading the weather service to issue a Red Flag Warning, which means "critical fire weather conditions are occurring or imminent". Look out for brush fires, Staten Island!
If anything tomorrow will exceed today for mid-April weather goodness. How does the sunny mid-70s grab you?
Enjoy the nice weather while you can because it is all downhill into the crapper after Saturday. A back door will sneak in from New England as early as tomorrow afternoon, perhaps bringing a shower tomorrow night. The front's passage means a cloudy Sunday with a high in the upper 50s is in store. Monday is looking rainy and even cooler. It may not reach 50.

Nooooooooo. Couldn't you have at least waited until tomorrow to break the news?
yea way to end that wonderful weather report on a bummer-note! how about's "we're totes gonna break freezing!"
everyone, get off your computers and go outside while the goin's good!
really.
That sign is actually on 117th. It's in front of the health food store "Karrot" between Frederick Douglas and Manhattan Avenue.
You're right. What was I thinking when I wrote 118th? Jeez...
You weren't. That's why you were 1 street off. You are the weather guy on Gothamist and because of that, you work with numbers. So, is it too much to ask that you be accurate? I'm just sayin...
Thanks for being a dick about a minor error that I owned up to. Your kindness is really appreciated!
Actually, you didn't own up to it. You made a sarcastic remark about it as if someone had slapped you in the face, when all they really did was correct you. I'm sorry you have a victim mentality and feel the need to call others names over it.
