WARNING: This is really, really gross and disturbing. From the Daily News: "A convicted child molester was found naked and bleeding behind a Brooklyn building - a victim of sexual self-mutilation, police sources said... Damiene Iriarte, 26, was found in Fort Greene with the tip of his penis bitten off... 'How he did it? Limber, I guess. Not the work of a sane mind,' a police source said."

'How he did it? Limber, I guess.
It's also possible that he didn't have to bend too far. If you catch my drift.
great news.
there goes his vegetarian credentials. for shame.
Thanks for the warning.
eh, a catheter will fix that. or expensive plastic surgery.
Isn't that basically the plot of Little Children?
I want to go back in time 5 minutes before I heard about this.
Yes, please.
"Not the work of a sane mind"
I think that this is one thing that all of us at Gothamist can agree on.
I disagree - who is to say that this man isn't...SUPER SANE?
He's gone SANE in a CRAZY WORLD!!
I wonder what happened to this guy as a kid.
Sad.
Early bird bites the worm.
Based on his past criminal record, he did himself and the general public a good service by taking matters into his own hands...or mouth.
I don't think he's insane, just a little too cocksure about his decision to mutilate himself. And for what? Was it done in vein or was it done simply for pubelicity? Was he laying prostate when it happened or was he upright? Unless he confesses, I guess we'll never know what his little head was thinking.
the man had the good fortune of being able to reach and he goes and BITES it off, idiot
I give power to those who believe!
Pity it was just the tip. If he really wanted to do society a service, he would have inhaled his whole cork n' bawls.
Police who were going door-to-door said he had also cut off one of his ears. He was found when he started screaming for help. He initially said he had been attacked video cameras confirmed he was alone from 5am (when he climbed the fence into the Diocese property) to 9:35am when the cops found him.
