April showers, people, April showers. Today's weather situation is pretty much a replay of last Friday. A low pressure system is moving up the Ohio Valley, spreading its moisture shield over much of the northeast.
As for the details, look for showers and thundershowers off and on through early evening. There's a lot of moisture with this system. Although the heaviest showers are passing east of the city, we're still looking at up to an inch of rain falling in town, maybe more should thunderstorms strike. Highs today will be a few degrees below normal, topping out around 55 at best.
The remainder of the week is expected to be various degrees of cool and gray. Tomorrow and Wednesday will have a slight chance of rain and highs in the lower 50s if we're lucky and tomorrow will be breezy. Still cool, but sunny, on Thursday before another storm arrives on Friday. Gothamist would love to tell you more about Friday's weather but the Post, owned by the News Corporation, says you are better off listening to Nick Gregory, who just happens to work for The News Corporation's Fox5 News for your five day forecasts. Weird how coincidental that finding was (in fact, given the small sample size of 19 forecasts, there is no statistical difference in the accuracy of the four weather people surveyed).
