Video: NYC Speaks Up

This is adorable. Urban Anthropologists Andy and Carolyn London have given voices to some of New York City's more overlooked citizens: sewer grates, newspaper stands and pay phones, to name a few. In the below video they all tell their stories (in the credits some of the voices are attributed to Italian tourists, two drunks in Penn Station and an awesome Harlem lady).

  • Wonderful! All around us and so-o taken for granted, yet very much a part of NYC grit. This was a clever treat and a reminder nothing should be overlooked on the New York City landscape.

This is awesome. Like a gritty version of Creature Comforts, which is also awesome.
