Yesterday Topshop slightly opened up their doors, but today was the big reveal. While you were working hard for your money, other people who don't have to work for money waited in line for hours to get into the first U.S. outpost of British retailer. Kate Moss opened the store, alongside owner Philip Green, and last night the two took a little tour, which included a stop at the racks holding the model's own designs.

The only reason people are standing in line is because they were all over the city handing out 'free giftcards' with an unspecified amount on them. You had to go to the store on opening day and buy something to find out what was on your card.
yes. I have 50 of those gift cards. If anyone wants one or a few let me know.
They are only good for today.
Smart marketing move. Whatever it costs them to give the stuff away, pictures like these will be all over the papers and TV without mentioning that part of the story, creating the impression that there's been much more anticipation and excitement about the opening than there really was.
their clothes are like H&M quality but at Club Monaco prices. Also, anybody been to the store across the street called "SCOOP"? the prices are ridiculous!
I agree but Topshop more interesting clothes. H&M should get better designers. Most of their stuff are boring.
Not really, they all use the same freelance designers anyway. Then Forever 21 steals their designs and sells them 90% cheaper.
The pieces I've bought in overseas Topshop stores actually lasted quite a while (and I still have a few).
Dear Gothamist,
Your captions suck. Please stop ASAP.

Great photos! Who wouldn't want a T-shirt with a crab tweaking your boobs! And Kate Moss, looking adorably hungover and ready at any time to puke! What fun!
What Not To Wear.
Krystle Ortizdevillate and Ivana Robles are absolute morons
And flying from London to visit a shop that exists in London? I have lost hope for humanity
Get out of my city
