It's now $10.50 for a pack of Marlboro. $9 for a generic brand. I can't stand it when government tries to force morals down our throats. If no one bought cigarettes this week, how much in revenue would the city lose?

I'm no fan of Rush, but I think he might have a point. As we've seen with Albany's failures on, well, just about everything they do, there's a good chance the numbers they've pulled out of their ass about this tax hike are wrong, too.
