The Rangers moved into sixth place with a 2-1 win over Minnesota Tuesday night. Nikolai Zherdev had a goal and an assist while the New York defense kept Minnesota under wraps, allowing only 19 shots. Henrik Lundqvist stopped all but one of them, looking very strong in net. The Rangers now have a day off before facing Atlanta on Thursday.

That photo shows just how ridiculous the angle was for Zherdev's goal. Excellent win. The dopes at Versus had a headline at the bottom of the screen after the game saying "Rangers 5-game home win streak." Er, I guess they didn't catch Sunday's game.

I hope we get either the Devils or Flyers in the first round.

With Brodeur's record in the playoffs, do you really want the Devils in the first round?
