When asked about a recent poll revealing that New Yorkers find him "cold and businesslike," Mayor Bloomberg essentially threw up his hands and said (literally), "I am what I am." While declaring that he's not "big on psychoanalysis," Bloomberg stated, "I'm going to call 'em like I see 'em, and I will say I don't get any sense on the street of people being any less friendly than they've always been." Bloomberg apparently spends so much time on the streets that he also didn't seem shocked that New Yorkers didn't find him "warm and friendly." He said, "I don’t find anything warm and fuzzy about the potential of people losing their jobs, or losing their homes. I don’t find anything warm and fuzzy about city government having to reduce expenses and find alternative revenue sources. That’s the job, and that’s what I’m going to do." But as much as might downplay his cuddly "Mayor Mike" side, Politicker NY finds that his latest full page newspaper ads are quick to show him as a regular guy New Yorkers can sit and share a cup of coffee with.

This is warm and fuzzy and is being club to death at this moment. Bloomberg is lucky he isn't warm and fuzzy.

And what are you personally doing about it?
Urgent assistance needed to stop seal hunt! Senator Harb is extremely concerned that his private members bill to end the commercial seal hunt will expire in 48 hours (by NOON tomorrow) if he is unable to find another senator willing to second the bill. We have identified two senators who are sympathetic to our cause and may, with a little urging decide to support this crucial bill which will get this issue out of the shadows and into the halls of government where it can be exposed and debated in parliament.
We need everyone to PLEASE take just a few minutes out of your day today or tomorrow before noon to call each of these senators offices and ask them to support Mac Harbs bill and also write to them with even a very short note requesting their support for this crucial bill which could bring an end to the senseless and barbaric slaughter of baby seals! Mac Harb is staking his future on this bill, The least we can do for him making such an enormous, life-changing sacrifice is make a couple of quick calls and send brief emails!

The majority of New Yorkers are not his constituents. Only the well heeled wealthy are his constituents. he only cares if they like him. The rest of of you guys can drop dead in Bloomberg's eyes.
He has a 66 percent approval rating. WTF are you talking about?
Because people are stupid. plain and simple. At the term hearing meeting in January, there were black and latino small business owners that spoke on behalf of Mayor Bloomberg and how he helps small business. CM James had to correct them and inform then that under Bloomberg Administration, there were less assistance to minority own businesses. People don't even know we live in a nanny state because of Bloomberg
New York is the least free by a considerable margin, followed by New Jersey, Rhode Island, California, and Maryland,'' according to "Freedom in the 50 States: An Index of Personal and Economic Freedom.''

is there a reason this dude can't invest a few million of his own money into helping people with small businesses?
Best thing he can do for small businesses is not to tax them into oblivion.
Bloomberg works for nothing and does give away a lot of money in the city.
Great picture!
