Arrow Lands On Queens Home

2009_03_arrin.jpg It's pretty much agreed that shooting a bow and arrow in New York City isn't the greatest idea, especially after a woman was shot—with a huge fiberglass arrow— in the stomach the other week. Yet last night, a hunting arrow landed in the window frame of a Queens home in Bayside. The woman's husband, Eric Weinberger, was taking out the trash at the time and saw the three-foot arrow travel by him, towards their home on 20th Road. He said he told his family to take cover, "Get out of here! Somebody shot an arrow into the house!"—his wife was helping one of their daughter with her homework at that very window—but added, "Then like a dummy, I went back outside." The arrow was reportedly lodged 3-4 inches into the frame. Cops found another arrow on the ground while Weinberger's 13-year-old daughter said she saw a van. Weinberger said, "It is a copycat. have no enemies in the neighborhood."
