The Ringling Bros. brought their circus through Manhattan last night, as they headed to Madison Square Garden to set up shop through April 13th. While many were on hand to see the elephants walk through the city, others showed up in full force to protest the circus and their acts of cruelty towards the animals. If you're in the latter group, today you can attend "The Greatest Showdown on Earth: New York League of Humane Voters vs. Ringling Bros. Circus," which is an exciting name for a press conference being held outside of MSG at noon.

boycott this horror show!
What, the PETA press conference? Agreed.
Elephants are fun to watch!!
Weren't they cold?
this was my thought. Don't elephants come from warm equatorial countries? in what way are they suited for 32-degree weather?
At least they don't electrocute the elephants to death like they did to Topsy out at Coney a century ago.
word!
I bet they get free healthcare.
yay circus!

In addition to demonstrating how Ringling Bros. mistreats its Asian elephants, we will also present evidence involving the deaths of at least four baby elephants who have died in the care of Ringling Bros. over the past few years: Two-year-old Benjamin died when his trainer came after him with a bull hook, four-year-old Kenny was made to perform in three shows when he was extremely ill, eight-month-old Riccardo mysteriously broke both of his hind legs while "climbing on a round platform 19 inches high," and eleven-day-old Bertha died in the summer of 2005, her birth and death never even announced by Ringling Bros.
Your class clown act is pathetic, Grow up buffoon.
The elephants look horrible. So sad.
