Spring Snow!
Mother Nature sure has a funny sense of humor, sending a snow shower our way almost to the minute of the vernal equinox. The shortwave pulse of energy responsible for the shower will quickly move through the region and the sun is likely to return late this afternoon. The clouds and northerly winds will keep today's high in the mid 40s.
Clearing skies, low humidity and light winds add up to efficient radiational cooling tonight. Tomorrow morning's temperature will bottom out around the freezing mark. However, that same dry air will allow for plenty of radiational warming tomorrow. Sunny skies should warm the city to the lower to mid 50s by the afternoon. Sunday looks to be a couple of degrees warmer.
Looking beyond the weekend, a weak cold front is expected Sunday night. No precipitation is expected but the leading edge of high pressure behind the front means Monday and Tuesday will be on the cool side. The next real chance of precipitation is next Wednesday or Thursday.
