Project Runway Finalist Attacks Fiance With Cat, Laptop, Fruit

The Post reports that Kenley Collins, a fashion designer and Project Runway finalist, was "arrested today after assaulting her fiance with their cat... After throwing the feline, a laptop computer, and three apples at Zak Penley, Collins, 26, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon (of meow destruction)."

Collins told the Post, "It was a miscommunication. Fights happen. And that's that. There is no case," but the Post has some details from sources, like how "an enraged Collins woke Penley up just after 7 a.m. by hurling their cat in his face," which was followed by throwing her laptop "and as he fell crawled on the floor, slammed a door on his head." Then "she threw three apples, and doused him with water, before he was able to dial 911," which was also allegedly accompanied by Collins' threat, "You're lucky, it could have been worse."

The couple was planning on getting married in the fall (Mrs. Kenley Penley?) but neighbors say they have been arguing lately. One said, "When she speaks, she yells. Since she moved in around September there have been a lot of noise problems." When Entertainment Weekly had asked her about other Project Runway contestants suggesting she was full of herself, Collins said, "Full of myself? I just laughed and had fun.... Other people just didn't handle me as well, the aggressive, New York kind of upfront, forward behavior."
