Ex-Cop Caught Stalking Model In Disguise, With Pants Unzipped

031909copdisguise.jpg A Queens court officer was arrested Sunday for stalking a singer/model at her bus stop. Julia Fragias (pictured left), who sings professionally under the name Jane Silence, tells cops that 43-year-old Christopher Ofee had been bothering her at her bus stop at 82nd Street and Astoria Boulevard for over year now, coming up to her repeatedly to ask for directions and offer her rides, which she firmly declined. Probably a smart move, because when cops busted Ofee, he was caught driving back and forth by the bus stop with his fly open and carrying duct tape and a wig.

Here's the explanation for the wig: Fragias says Ofee had tried to perfect his unwanted advances over time by donning different disguises and using elaborate props, like a cast, a crutch or a cane. Did we miss an episode of "The Game" in which dudes learn that after a woman rejects you once, they should try, try again wearing bad wigs and fake mustaches? In any case, Fragias saw through the disguises and, after spurning him again on Sunday, had her boyfriend escort her back to the bus stop, where Ofee drove past twice more. She then called the cops, who let him go with a desk-appearance ticket for misdemeanor stalking and harassment. Good thing he didn't do anything serious, like pass through an emergency subway gate, or he might have spent the night in jail!

Ofee—who was an NYPD officer for 6 years until 2001—is currently on vacation from his court officer gig, which explains why he had so much free time to stake out Fragias's bus stop. But she shouldn't worry; court spokesman David Bookstaver tells the Daily News Ofee will be placed on modified assignment when he gets back to work, barring him from carrying a gun. It's remains to be seen whether the modified assignment will bar him from stalking models with his pants unzipped.

Having duct tape isn't illegal. Although when you have a wig, duct tape a bad disguise? Oh, and he had his dick in his hand. I think that was the clincher for a (D.A.T). He didn't have to go to central booking for 30 something hours. After he is convicted, or he takes a plea deal. we can all look forward to paying his partial pension for the rest of his life. This city is screwed.

what's his explanation for the duct tape?

I have duct tape in my car. Oddly, the cops have never asked me to explain that.

If you haven't noticed, cops aren't the best and/or the brightest as you are lead to believe from teevee.

My point is that the fact that he had duct tape in his car isn't necessarily notable, newsworthy, or relevant.

It is if you're a guy who's accused of stalking and harassing a woman who you've been trying to get into your car.

Great year for cops/former cops this year huh?

the nypd takes care of its own. i wonder what he would have had to do in order to actually get punished...

somehow i doubt that a man who picketed ofee's residence and followed him around wearing a pig suit would be given a slap on the wrist desk-appearance ticket.

the best part of this story? the knuckle-dragging post commenters defending this pervert over in the discussion thread here.

Hahahahaha, I love the Sabotage pic.

Thanks for noticing; the chance to use that photo was my main motivation for writing about this.

Well, there goes my mustache and wig getup. I guess I'll just shave it all off and linger in the shadows...again.

Watch out girl at the bus stop, if he's an ex cop you're on your own.

What?? A slap on the wrist?? Does not make sense!!
