Woman Pleads Guilty in 2006 West Village Beatdown

2009_03_rhaill.jpg A NJ woman has pleaded guilty to the 2006 beating of a man in the West Village. Renata Hill and three friends beat up Dwayne Buckle outside the IFC Center on 6th Avenue because Buckle made sexual remarks at one of them (he said he would "f--- [her] straight") and then made rude remarks (calling one "an elephant" at the others). Buckle was stabbed during the attack—one of the women, who were arrested, had explained, " I admit I did cut him one time for my own safety." An appeals court threw out three of the women's convictions (the fourth's case was dismissed) and had ordered another trial for Hill; instead of another trial, Hill will serve a 3 1/2 year sentence.

And these women got exactly what they deserved: jail time. You can talk back to someone verbally abusing you. Stabbing - not so much. Plus, that random stretch of 6th avenue absolutely sucks.

Get rid of the BBall court across the street and the area will clean up quite a bit. The people that hang and use that court don't bring anything to the neighborhood.

As a man observing the Pssst!, the cat call and the flat out come on - and being incensed by it - I think this "victim" got exactly what he deserved. I would like to see vigilante groups of women the kicking ass of lewd commentors. One needs to take video and another to grab his ID. A third to post it on youtube so a permanent reminder is forever on the web : DeShawn Robinson - ass kicked by girls.
