Wow, very sad about Ron Silver, RIP. My wife and I met him a few years ago at a book release party for 'Reading Lolita in Tehran' by the Iranian-born writer Azar Nafisi. He spent some time chatting with us about the book, and literature, and made us feel welcome to the gathering, even though we felt we were out of our league.
