What is the fuss about the school giving out condoms? If a 12-13 year old doesn't know about condoms then the parent sure didn't do their job!. If kids want to have sex, they should know to use protection at least!!!!
People ALWAYS think anything sexual related in America is something to be shameful about or try to ignore it.
I actually attended that school back in the day (early 90's). And if it's anything like what it was then, then handing out condoms is a VERY good idea.
The CBS article covering it seems very bizarre and one-sided. There were pregnancies when we went there... those kids are more grown-up then you realize.
