Pertussis (whooping cough) has been resurgent, even among vaccinated individuals, for at least ten years now. In fact, the makers of the tetanus vaccine have added pertussis to the mix to boost the immunity of people previously immunized. So, when you a cut or get a tetanus shot for any other reason, you should be sure you are getting a "TDaP" shot, one that includes pertussis.

And, if you have a cough that doesn't go away after two weeks, make sure you are tested for whooping cough.

Re Chumley's - if the place is going to be completely rebuilt, then what's the point? It's not going to be an authentic speakeasy again. Rather, it will be a reproduction similiar to the crop that we've seen sprout throughout Manhattan lately. It's not a bad thing; they're very attractive settings, but the idea that Chumley's is coming "back" is incorrect.

Seriously, that CloFu thing can't be for reals?! If it is, then the PETA folks are crazier than I already thought.

Hell YES girlscout cookies should be sold online!

  • Toby von Meistersinger

Girl Scout Cookies should be sold online since they have two different bakeries that make the cookies which means you don't always get the same cookies since the local Girl Scouts choose the bakery to use. For example, Tagalongs are way better than Peanut Butter Patties despite in theory being the same thing. Even the Thin Mints are different. They also have different ingredient lists and calorie breakdowns.

They already sell Girl Scouts online, don't they?

Isn't that a bit more information about Girl Scout operations than an adult man should really know?

  • Toby von Meistersinger

Actualy no. We wanted to find out why the cookies we got in New Jersey were not the same as the ones we got in New York. Most of the information was found on the Girl Scout Cookie website where you go to plug your zip code in to find where to get cookies. However, the answer about why the cookies were not the same and why they didn't have a specific type came from when we asked a cookie mother when we got cookies.

Toby von Meistersinger is a collective?
