Britney Spears Brings Comeback Tour to NY

Last night Britney Spears took her Circus act to the Nassau Coliseum stage on Long Island, and Newsday, the final word in concert reviews, has a scathing account. The paper makes note of the audience member lapdance, the pop star getting sawed in three, and the Bollywood dance number, but they say it's all "a massive money-making venture designed to play up her talents and distract from her shortcomings." Is this not the foundation upon which pop stars are built? The criticisms continue, as they declare "she always gets a lot of help from her troupe of 12 dancers, who pull her across the stage or give her rides on their bicycles so we don't notice she's only moving at two-thirds speed or not doing all the moves her dancers are."

Meanwhile, the Post points out that "in the five years since she last toured, she's gotten married and divorced - twice; become a mom - twice; and was even committed to a mental institution for a short stay." And they think that while she probably didn't do any real singing, she was sporting a "buff new bod." How do you think Brit Brit looks these days?

Will Farrell looks ecstatic in that first pic.

My god, what a train wreck.

She looks good, given all the craziness and that not-taking-care-of-herself period. In the long run, though, I don't think she has the focus/stamina of someone like Madonna.

is it weird that the only people that go to her concerts are pre-teen females? Is this what counts as wholesome family entertainment these days? she actually had a good body 3 weeks ago for like ten minutes. Sadly, it was washed away and drowned in a bucket of kentucky fried chicken and curly fries from these pictures.

I wouldn't say only preteens. There are tons of kids at my college who went to this concert.

anna nicole wanna-be in the making

I'm still in disbelief that she hasn't made an appearance in Playboy (Penthouse/Hustler too) yet.

Her arms are freakishly short...

Unlike most humans who die tragically from overdoses or whatever, it's ok to take this one to the taxidermist and have it stuffed.

"Buff"? Judging from that final picture, the Post writer doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Its sad, she has some talent but she'll Never be Madonna no matter what she takes off. All the Best Britney- What that Steamy- Wet- Hot Body
