A 21-year-old man riding his motorcycle was killed by a driver in Brooklyn around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. Brian Sitarevich, who was riding with other friends, was on Humboldt Street when he was hit by Daniel Levens's SUV; Levens had tried to make a left turn onto Greenpoint Avenue. Levens, of Massapequa, was charged with drunk driving and the Brooklyn DA's office is investigating whether to press more charges. Sitarevich's father wouldn't blame Levens yet, "I can't point the finger at someone that might be innocent," but added, "There is a hole in your heart and I hope one day it will close. I keep looking at the door and hoping he is going to walk through the door for dinner or something."

Another death-by-automobile. Another automobile operator who may get away with murder. Just another day in America.
Considering the idiot was drunk driving, it's abit more than your standard "death-by-automobile." More like "death-by-irresponsible-drunk-moron."
rest in peace...
It's a shame.
And it's really unfortunate that it happened the night we turn the clocks forward at 2am. If it had happened in the fall, he would have been able to relive his last half hour.
I'm a 46 year old who just sold his bike last summer. I loved riding in the city, but I knew that the law of large numbers was against me. Tehre are too many cars inthe City, and too many morons operating them. Levens needs to rot in jail. My thoughts to the family of the deceased.
