  • From the Gothamist Newsmap: a fall victim on E 119th St in Manhattan, a Dsny Inv MVA at Bushwick Ave and Lafayette Ave in Brooklyn and an armed robbery on 126th St in Queens.
  • It was bad enough when residents of a Bronx building were braving through this cold without any heat. Then a carbon monoxide leak from the boiler sent 18 of them to the hospital. When they got home, the heat still wasn't fixed.
  • Curbed found an apartment listing photo that will really give you a reason to not stop staring at the yellow wallpaper.
  • An arrest warrant was issued for the man suspected of killing DC intern Chandra Levy.
  • Melinda Gates reveals that there are "very few things that are on the banned list in our household. But iPods and iPhones are two things we don't get for our kids."
  • Having completed its mission of running all the mom & pop video rental stores out of business, it now looks like Blockbuster will file for bankruptcy.
  • This clip of some fans going all out and seriously freak dancing at a game—panda mask and all—might be enough to get us excited about watching Nets basketball again.
  • Finally! Sleepless in Seattle is being turned into a Broadway musical!
  • And old man media is trying to get hip by using a Google image or two, but damn it if those whippersnappers and their Photoshop don't keep getting the best of him.

That apartment listing photo is sensational.

Hah. The media google story is funny.

Speaking of no heat and bad management...Frak realty runs 159 Christopher street and there's barely ever any heat in the apartments there...even after numerous complaints and calls to 311 and the dept of housing from most of the tenants. Someone I know lives there, and they're all at wits end.

Where did you guys finally come up with that Krispy Kreme thing? It's from at least a year ago.
