Supreme's Lou Reed Campaign Gets a Touch-Up

Recently the New York label Supreme posterbombed neighborhoods with their Spring/Summer 2009 campaign. The posters are simple, featuring a photo of musician Lou Reed (shot by Terry Richardson) wearing a Supreme t-shirt (accessorized with aviator sunglasses and a smug expression). Street artist Faile has now altered the images, with a tiger face in place of Lou's, and the word "Vanity" in place of "Supreme." Upgrade?

it's amazing how uncool lou reed has become. he's becoming a bigger jackass over time.

I think the graffitti is dumber than the ad

"A street artist has altered the images..."

Some guy glued some stickers on some ads with a picture of Lou Reed. Not particularly important.

I agree with comments. The use of the term street "artist" is generous, don't you think?

What, no Poster Boy news today?

Candi came from out on the Island....

brilliant. Not newsworthy maybe, but Supreme is one giant store of vain asshats

My dog shit on the sidewalk in front of someone's apartment this morning. Is he now a street artist?

In a great loss to the street art community, I picked it up. All great art is temporal, don't you know.
