U2 Head Back to School in the Bronx

php8pcZ93PM.jpg Bono & Co. really love popping up and playing unusual shows in New York. Well U2 is back, and this time they're playing in the Bronx! A student at Fordham confirms (through a WFUV exec) that the band will be playing a show for staff and faculty there on March 6th (follow a week long stint on Letterman) at the bright n' early hour of 8 a.m. Word is that "Professors have reportedly been told by the administration to cancel morning classes for security reasons."

Higher learning is put on hold for a stupid rock concert? Nice. What slackish times we live in.

Srsly? A half-day of unexpected fun is going to turn Fordham students into uneducated slackers?

More worrisome is that U2 hasn't had a decent album since most undergrads started school... grade school. Does the group even appeal to college students?

Watch the Jesuits tear up during "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".

Is this the concert that will be airing on Good Morning America?

Given the Irish Catholic population at Fordham, it's going to be nuts on that campus that day. St. Patrick's Day starts two weeks early!

Maybe they'll stop at the White Castle across the street from Fordham for a sack of 10?

Back to school might be a good idea for these boys. They seem to have forgotten what it was that they were looking for.
