The Glamour bloggers conducted an awwww-inspiring experiment recently where they left two disposable cameras on park benches in Manhattan and Brooklyn. They were left with a note saying: "Good afternoon! I attached this camera to the bench so you could take pictures. Seriously. So have fun. I'll be back later this evening to pick it up." Ready to feel good about your fellow New Yorkers? Neither one was stolen, and there were hardly any inappropriate photos taken. Check out what developed, and where the idea originally came from. Can you figure out where the park benches were located in the two boroughs?

I like this idea.
It goes to show ya, we're not all bad. In fact the vast majority are nice and are basically honest. However, all it takes is one jerk and it offsets 50 good people.
I love stories like this. The Manhattan camera looks like it was in Union Square.
A good idea.
The Brooklyn camera was in McCarren? One photo is definitely Bedford between N 6th and N 7th.
Union Square and Bedford Ave. It's also December because the holiday fair is going on at the park.
Fun!
course this was completely taken from a guy in Atlanta: http://theplug.net/28/strangerphotos.htm
your "originally came from" link is only a blog about the guy who really did do it.
I hear in Chicago they do the same thing...with loaded guns.
ohh. Good one.
That's really sweet. So nice to see some good news.
