11-Year-Old Brooklyn Girl Shot In Her Home

2009_02_gshot.jpg Yesterday afternoon, an 11-year-old girl using the computer in the living room was was shot in the chest. WCBS 2 reports, "The shooter was standing in the hallway when he started firing blindly, but one of the bullets hit the girl seated at her computer. It went straight through her and into the machine." And 1010 WINS suggests the shooter may have been the girl's mother's boyfriend, who started firing after a fight: "Police believe the mother's boyfriend opened fire and shot through a bedroom door from an interior hallway after it was slammed in his face during an argument inside a second floor apartment at 660 Hendrix Street. Police say he missed his intended target and shot the 11-year-old girl." The girl was in surgery last night and is currently in critical but stable condition at Brookdale Hospital.
