  • Florida 2 New York 1 (Shootout): Good, but not good enough was the story of the night for the Rangers. Fredrik Sjostrom got them the lead with a goal in the first and Henrik Lundqvist made 42 saves, but it wasn’t enough. Florida tied things up late in the second period and forced a shootout.

Both team failed to score on their first three attempts, but Richard Zednik broke through for Florida in the fourth round and that proved to be the difference.

  • Devils 1 Boston 0: Scott Clemmensen shutout the best team in the Eastern Conference Friday with 31 saves. Bryce Salvador scored in the second period to give New Jersey the victory.
