THEATER: Blythe Danner, Debra Messing and Alysia Reiner (Sideways) are just a few of the notable actors performing at tonight's one-night-only "LOVE" benefit for the non-profit group Women's Expressive Theater [WET], which is dedicated to challenging female stereotypes and promoting gender equality in the entertainment industry. The annual pre-Valentine's Day gala (at Angel Orensanz, pictured) begins with the performance of eight short plays by women writers and continues into the night with an open bar, dancing and, inevitably, gift bags. The occasion also marks the 10th anniversary celebration for WET, which runs an extensive media literacy and leadership program for teenage girls in NYC. — John Del Signore

VINYL: Another Vinyl Club is coming to the Bell House tonight, expect "an orgy of turntables, wax, and 12x12" cardboard sleeves." Allegedly the front lounge now houses a subwoofer, and a record has been picked up in honor of this development. Host Brett (from the Mugs) says, "You'll know when I play it: the sky will fill with light and you may feel slightly disoriented as the bass and drums crackle to life with the thunder of 1,001 perfect high-fives and 1.21 gigawatts of power."

EVENT: Horse Trade Theater Group presents a Video Game Movie Night! "Sci Fi Screening Room is a monthly showcase of offbeat videos, featuring a variety of cult classics and TV rarities. February’s line-up showcases the best and worst movies inspired by video-games, featuring clips from Cloak & Dagger (1984), The Wizard (1989) and Alone in the Dark (2005) with the director’s audio commentary. Plus cartoons based on arcade classics and other gimmicky media that tried to cash-in on America’s Pac-Man Fever." The night is hosted by Will Carlough (world-record holder of the game Ice Climber) and Kevin Maher (American Movie Classics’ Sci Fi Department).
