Fourth and Final Guilty Plea in Election Night Hate Crime

2009_02_nicolettihl.jpg Staten Island resident Ralph Nicoletti pleaded guilty to beating a black teen with a metal pipe on Election Night. Nicoletti, 18, who attacked Ali Kamara as well as others in the November 4th rampage, admitted, "I was angry. I was drunk. After Obama was elected, we decided to go after black people." The group also attacked a white man who they thought was black (because he was wearing his hooded sweatshirt up), striking him with a car; Nicoletti said, "It wasn't my intent to kill him; it was my intent to injure him." Nicoletti was considered the ringleader; his three associates also pleaded guilty to the federal hate crime charges.

That photo recalls the immortal words of Dean Wormer from the movie Animal House:

"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

"Guinea" is a really offensive term.

I was in the museum with my grandmother only a year ago, when someone said "so giunea" referring to an Italian nude painting. It made her, an 88 year old woman, cry.

It's hugely offensive and reveals your ignorant and limited frame of mind.

"attacked a white man who they thought was black (because he was wearing his hooded sweatshirt up)"

That makes the above picture seem a little ironic.

Mrs. Nicoletti: "My son is a good boy! He did nothing wrong!"

  • "I was angry. I was drunk. After Obama was elected, we decided to go after black people."

"It wasn't my intent to kill him; it was my intent to injure him."

Not the sharpest tool in the shed. Stick a fork in him, he's cooked.

It's a shame the public can't join in on stoning these guys like they did in the good ole days...

It's also a shame that we can't collectively beat (literally, not figuratively) some sense into all idiots like these.

That appears to be a racist remark.
