A Beautiful Day for a Lunar New Year Parade

Yesterday may have been a big TV day, but it was also a gorgeous day to be outside. Those who flocked to Chinatown to see the annual Lunar New Year Parade were rewarded with a vibrant procession of dragons, lions, and performers. Enjoy readers' photographs of the festivities!

    yes, I was there too, back in the old day, the firecrackers sound was awesome, the noise of firecrackers are suppose to chase away the bad stuff in life. Until they ban it, I think that's the Guilani time. I remember the days firecracker was flying everywhere, you have to duck and stick something in your ear when you walk on the street, also you can’t wear anything nice since some stuff will pop right next to you, it was dangerous but it was exciting.

    Went yesterday for the first time since I was a just kid. Without the firecrackers and the noise I found the parade boring. It lacks energy. Despite the fact that their aren't that many floats and dragons the parade takes a LONG time. However, that kid doing flips was pretty awesome.
