Clap Your Hands Say Hiatus
If you've enjoyed those little Clap Your Hands Say ___ puns over the last several years, better get your fill while it lasts. After rumors started surfacing that the band might be taking some time apart, it was confirmed this week that they will not be recording or touring together anytime soon. They are all still set to perform at BAM on February 13th, but after that, the members of the band will all head their separate ways indefinitely. That's not to say they will all completely disappear from the music landscape. Singer Alec Ounsworth has fronted several side projects, even during the band's heyday, that may start springing back up. Drummer Sean Greenhalgh has his runaway success Guns n' Roses tribute band to tend to, and Robbie and Tyler have a Clap-sounding side project, Uninhabitable Mansions, that they are starting to get off the ground. For those looking for one last Clap fix, tickets are still available for the BAM show here.
