Video: PosterBoy Deconstructs Brooklyn Billboard

PosterBoy has come out from the underground and is moving on to bigger canvases. The below video was shot by the Public Ad Campaign and put up on YouTube recently, showing the street artist taking down a billboard in Brooklyn. The following words were posted with it: "A sign of what's to come."

He also recently talked for 120 seconds about what he does, and why. [via Urban Prankster]

the increasing use of billboard advertising that forces itself on us everywhere we turn makes this sort of thing necessary. Likewise it validates any form of graphatti to cover it up.

"meaningless", "dickhead", "cloaked in pretense", "a future in advertising?" What?! Them are some harsh words to be used towards a kid just trying to yank down a billboard and replace it with some of his own art. This type thing makes New York awesome. Shit takes guts. Oy vey...
