Four Stabbed in Everyday Struggle After Notorious

Much like the tragic story that had just been seen on screen, an afterparty for the opening night of Notorious turned violent Friday when four men were stabbed inside a Brooklyn nightclub. A chaotic scene emerged as one clubgoer described it, "I didn't know what happened, but whenever people start screaming and running out of a club it means someone either has a gun or a knife, and I wasn't going to stick around to find out which it was."

21-year-old Antwione Jones is in critical condition at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center after the incident at DJumbala in East Flatbush. Jones is engaged and has a 2-year-old-daughter with his fiancée. The three other victims are all in stable condition.

DJumbala had claimed on its MySpace page that it was the official after party for the opening night of the biopic depicting the life and death of Brooklyn-born rapper Notorious B.I.G. But Fox Searchlight told the press that the party had no connection to the film.

Reports from the scene of the crime provided murky details with what exactly went down to provoke the incident. Police told the News in reference to the victims, "We're not getting too much information out of them." An anonymous witness simply told the paper, "It looked like an ugly rodeo inside."

70 years ago, many states practiced involuntary sterilization on "idiots and the feebleminded". I think that fairly well describes the actors in this incident. If those laws were still on the books, gangstas and other such idiots could enjoy their stupidity worry-free that no children could accidentally be spawned by their activities. I know that for them, it would be such a huge relief.

C'mon, people- the violence at hip-hop events is about class, not race!

Johnny Cash was a redneck sharecropper who spent time in jail for drug possession and had a poor redneck fanbase- remember all of the shootings and stabbings at movie theaters when "I Walk the Line" came out? Remember?

-oh wait- the rednecks behaved themselves- my bad!

  • snoopydog

The only reason they weren't more ashootin's and stuff is because they forgot the keys to their pickup truck's gun rack. Plus Sheriff Earl Bob Williams Jr. and his deputies were a keepin' an I out on 'em.

Shucks it's them youngin's you got to keep an I on. They growed up just weeds fore you know it.

  • snoopydog

Sorry for the grammatical error. It should read "growed up just like weeds"

"It looked like an ugly rodeo inside."

    Best quote ever.

"Any way you look at it, underclass blacks are their own worse enemies and deserve the same animus that is openly directed at rednecks in our society. "

    Yes.

Where would the American trailer industry, with its base in Elkhart Indiana, be without white trash? White trash are vital to the American economy. As are the underclass blacks to the rap music, sneaker and basketball industries.

Animals don't act this way, the are not ego maniacs and narcissists as the Human specie.

  • Tar_Baby

Just like clock work. Whenever such a "film" comes out, a few (wish there were more) homies get shot, stabbed, killed, etc...

Nice to know younger generation follows in Biggie's steps,

    keepin' it real.

  • brooklyngal

i didn't realize it was okay to be blatantly racist these days (especially pointing to ides of march and berniegoetz's comments). it truly is unbelievable. would you be willing to say these things if someone knew your identity? really, you may want to educate yourself.

  • rdsizzle

Yes Idles indeed does have anger at black people perhaps stemming from events that are beyond our understanding.

In a way he makes me think of the fat guy in American History X

    The white man marches on....

  • The Edge

Is it still racist if it's true?

  • chickblao

edge, what you don't understand is it ISNT true, there is nothing biological about race. race isn't REAL, do you understand that? your thinking is why people are seperated.

  • snoopydog

You are right race isn't biological it is cultural. Some people classify Jews as a race and obviously they are if you look at them as a historically and culturally distinct group. Somehow it appears certain cultural groups for the most part live with each other in harmony and then there are some cultural groups that are just plain assholes.

FOX/Murdoch makes money destroying society by dumbing america with its FAUXnews and such movies. FOX covers all ends, First this movie glorifying a gang banger, drug dealing high school dropout. Second Fox's mouthpiece Bill O'Reilly will spew his hatred, fear and biased on this story. Murdoch is a pimp.

  • longacre

Right, if Fox hadn't bought it, there wouldn't have been a half dozen other media conglomerates lined up behind them to make the movie.

  • FelixtheCat & Christine Quinn'

Perhaps, it seem FOX is the first to promote such movies (black violence) and hypocritically criticizes the same culture in the FAUX news media.

  • longacre

It has always been pretty clear that Fox News Channel is diametrically opposed to Fox's entertainment ventures, which just proves the point that Murdoch does not have a conservative or liberal agenda: he just wants to make money.
