Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently started dipping her toes into the world wide web, is now opening a gym in Tribeca (she's a part-time resident of downtown New York). The Daily News reports that she's partnering with her trainer/friend Tracy Anderson (who is also responsible for scary Madonna arms), but that "no other details on the gym are available yet." It's doubtful you'll be sweating with the star anytime soon however, she told Oprah recently that her favorite gym is the one in her own home. Paltrow has been taking a big screen break and won't be seen in theaters again until 2010, and the paper warns that if she's looking to "push acting aside in favor of becoming an Oprah or Martha, she needs to tie things together."

I'd say it's a very, very safe bet that her gym won't be one of those hardcore joints, in an unairconditioned basement, with lots of weight plates, 180-pound dumbbells, and the ever-present scent of sweat and intestinal gas.* Pity, really.
* = an almost unavoidable consequence of the intrabdominal pressure built up during heavy squats and deadlifts.

She is coming back; movie is in pre-production and she is listed on the cast (source: IMDB). It's due to be released in Spring 2010, so that's the next time she will be "seen in theaters again"
Like Everlast said, where it ends yo usually depends on where you start. And Gwinny's career started when her "Uncle Steven [Spielberg]" cast her in her first movie when she was 9.
So after spending months touring Europe alongside Mario Battali, she's decided to help people get in better shape.
And wasn't that the most obnoxious overconsumption fest ever to air on TV? She was just as charmless as Battali was bloated.
"Pumping up" is not a phrase I would use with Paltrow. She's too skinny and definitely needs to pump up.
