- Knicks 128, Wizards 122: When a losing team scores 122 points, shoots 59.7 percent from the floor and makes 10-of-14 3-pointers, defense is not in high supply. But there are many ways to skin a cat -- or beat a team with only seven wins -- and the Knicks proved just that. David Lee had 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way. The Knicks did have 27 assists on 43 field goals. Quentin Richardson had 26 points and made six of seven 3-pointers.
- Celtics 118, Nets 86: No one was getting embarrassed until the Celtics outscored the Nets 37-19 in the third quarter and didn't look back. Devin Harris was OK, scoring 17 points in 27 minutes. But Vince Carter had only four points on 1-of-10 in 26 minutes. Terrible as his performance was, it didn't cost the team the game.
