Seen in the Bodega: Sparks!

phpuMdh06PM.jpg

This photo was taken last night, January 13th, which can only mean one thing: Sparks is still alive! Not too long ago we shed some unnatural orange-tinted tears over the drink, which MillerCoors allegedly stopped production of and was to pull from the shelves by January 10th.

Has anyone tried Joose, I haven't seen either of these in stores by me, i'm just curious what they taste like? It says malt liquor, but are we talking Colt45 malt liquor or something like a Boones Farm kind of thing?

why mourn the loss of sparks when bodegas have started stocking its digusting step child, the 24 ounce, 9.9% alcohol energy drink JOOSE?

Sparks isn't exactly the tastiest thing on the planet but i am mad at consumer groups that they're taking the caffeine out of my alcohol!

Always nice to see Keystone Light, the Grey Goose of cheap beers, especially when you're a college freshman with $6 in your wallet. On the other hand, what person east of the Mississippi drinks Coors Original?

Well, Jack, I had one two weeks ago in Bay Ridge because the extra-tall can was $1.25!

I have to admit that's a great deal, especially if you consider that you can't buy a Snapple or Lipton Iced Tea for that price.

I once bought some Ben & Jerry's ice cream from a bodega in my old neighborhood...got home and thought it tasted kind of off. I checked out the flavor and saw that it had been discontinued - a year before I had purchased it.

exactly, after you stop production you still have a ton left at the factory and with the distributors, and the stores probably had some too (i doubt they sell very quickly).

I still see it all over, even the black can. Might just be left overs though.
