Baby Hitler Taken From Parents

2008_12_bhcake2.jpg Three-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, whose family's attempt to get him a birthday cake made him an instant object of sympathy (his parents, not so much), was taken from his parents by NJ authorities. According to Lehigh Valley Live, "New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services took the 3-year-old, as well as JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 1, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, who turns 1 in April" from their home. It's unclear why the children were taken, but Holland Township police Chief David Van Gilson "said his department received no reports of abuse or negligence." Parents Heath and Deborah Campbell are expected to attend a hearing today.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Babyhitler.

Mine too. I for one will miss his postings.

For a second there I thought my favorite Gothamist commenter had been seized by the authorities. Not the case.

Babyhitler should be seized by the authorities for "crude and excessive snarky cynicism and sarcasm" which has endangered the community and let's face it, the planet as a whole.

New Jersey authorities should take the phrase "not so much" away from blog writers.

I hope the children was taken for valid reasons and not just his foolish parents choice in names...

i agree. this report has frighteningly little info

I hope the children were taken just because of his foolish parents choice in names. Naming your child Hitler and Aryan may not physically endanger them, but the potential emotional and psychological toll is just as severe.

Update- it looks like a somebody already tried:

NOT SO MUCH – "I wish that the phrase was used not so much," says Tom Benson of Milwaukee, who notes that it is used widely in news media, especially in sports, i.e. 'The Gophers have a shot at the playoffs; the Chipmunks, not so much.' "Casual language usage is acceptable. 'Not so much?' Not so much." David Hollis, Hubbardsville, NY. "Do I like concise writing? Yes. Do I like verbose clichés? Not so much." David W. Downing, St. Paul, Minn. "A favorite of snarky critics and bloggers." Jeff Baenen, Minneapolis, Minn.

It's a real shame that these children are brought up in this kind of environment, embracing Nazi ideology and harboring contempt for the Jew...

Well, not PHYSICAL abuse, anyway.

JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell!!??

Poor BabyHitler no sooner gets back from his vacation trip to Hawaii and the government comes and takes him away. Well it will be a few weeks I guess before he can post again from his new digs.

I take exception to this kid being called a baby. 3 years old is technically a toddler and any infant under a year old is a baby. Toddler Hitler is more apropos like this cute kid here.

Hahaha. I'm going to burn in hell for laughing at that picture.

May not be physical abuse by the parents, but when those kids grow up their sure as hell gonna get their asses kicked on more than 1 occasion. hey should force the parents to legally change all their names.

but when those kids grow up their sure as hell gonna get their asses kicked on more than 1 occasion.

By whom, exactly? The stunningly huge population of tough-guy Jews?

It might not be an ass-kicking, but kids are merciless and even "regular" names are fodder for teasing. And having a name like "Adolf Hitler" (or "Aryan Nation") makes them even more of a target.

It all has to do with the context of your upbringing. I would think that a child named Moshe Rabinowitz would not fare any better in inner-city environs...

TKaisen. Would you like to make that same statement to a member of Mossad?

Unless the kid is going to stay at home for the rest of his life or hang out strictly at KKK events (not improbably since his father is already indoctrinating him), he's bound to run into some minorities sometime. I can't think of a member of any minority group that wouldn't take offense at his name or his father's attitudes.

hey at least it's better than Bronx Mowgli Wentz.

More Yellow Journalism-attention grabbing headline, zero story.

Hahhah, this dumb idiots are even funny.

about time the state asserted its authority and save this child's life which would otherwise been filled with after school beatings from his peers, mistreatment from teachers and unemployment as an adult.

hope his sister is rescued too.

MSN is running the story and an interview with the parents, i love how the father said "it's just a name" and has no meaning behind it.

Sorry i meant to put the link to it for all of you. It's a shame, he's kind of cute, if you can get past the whole genocide thing ;-)

@snoopydog, LOL!

This father would probably be the type to home school his kids so that they are not subjected the philosophy of sane people.

The parents are very scary in a brain damaged, incestuous sort of way. "Hey Hon, howz 'bout we name the boy Adolf Hitler", "Sure Babe, Ain't he the guy who lives two trailers over?"

So the govenment can now take away your children if they don't like the name you gave them? Scary.

What if you name your kid Shithead Jones? Freedom of speech sure, but damn.
