Yesterday's Snowstorm Warnings Were a Snow Job

2009_01_snoahead.jpg Obviously, meteorologists who predicted 1-3" of snow for yesterday win over the ones claiming that 5-7" would hit the NYC region. The lack of snow in city parks disappointed some: One dad, in Prospect Park with his kids and their sleds ready, told the Post, "We thought there was going to be 3 to 6 inches, but we got 3 to 6 centimeters." However, there was ice (watch out while you're walking outside!), and AccuWeather's Mike Pigott warns of a deep chill for this week, "There is extreme cold coming. It's definitely going to be the coldest we've seen so far, and could easily be the coldest we get all winter." Photo: Caryn Rose on Flickr

Weather forecasters SUCK! I wish someone would pay me a six-figure salary to be wrong 50-75% of the time!

    Boring.

Snowstorms are the hardest to predict especially when the temperature is near freezing. By yesterday morning, all forecasts were in the 1-3" range, and we got 1". Making them... correct.
