Disabled Man Ate Bus Seat Foam, Vinyl While Stranded

2009_01_edrive.jpg Ed Wynn Rivera, the 22-year-old man with cerebral palsy who was abandoned on a freezing bus for 17 hours, returned home from the hospital yesterday. His family, thrilled that he's safe, spoke to WCBS 2 about finding him. His father Elmer Rivera said when he went to the bus depot and asked two workers to look for him one came "back with tears in her eyes" because she found him and they broke into the bus and took of their coats to warm him up. Additionally, a CAT scan showed foam in his system—his sister said he had eaten foam and vinyl from the bus seat during his ordeal. The bus matron who was responsible for noticing Rivera was still on the bus (she allegedly did know he was there when she left) has been charged with reckless endangerment.

On this episode of Survivorman....

This story is so sad! The family seemed so sweet and loving when I saw them on the news this morning.
You forgot to mention that the bus matron was in a hurry to get to a concert at church. Obviously this woman is totally f'ing godless.

That bus matron is a heartless bastard.

Amen #'s 3 and 4!
I'm just happy to see he survived and is doing better.

He was foaming at the mouth.

The punishment should be that the matron be flogged continuously by autistic teens for a period of 2 days.

Oh, by all means don't be late for a church concert, because jesus will understand that's why that heartless witch left a helpless disabled man on a freezing bus for 17 hours. This is disgusting on so many levels, and i am so glad that he was found save, and sorry #8...flogging is just niot good enough.

Considering the fact that the US is flat broke, I think it's only a matter of time before ALL you war criminal a-holes are munching on bus seats.

That cunt bus matron should be force-fed foam and vinyl.
