Giants Wide Receivers Do Go to Applebee's

2009_01_hixon.jpg Just weeks ago, Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg while at a Manhattan nightclub, but, when he was being treated at a NY hospital, he allegedly claimed his name was "Harris Smith" and said he was shot at an Applebee's. Now, it turns out that Burress's replacement on the field, Domenik Hixon actually goes to Applebee's. A NJ.com reader posted a photograph of himself with the player and NJ.com's John Shabe writes, "Seems like Hixon was a pretty good sport to mug for a photo with these guys." Hixon will be working off those Applebee's calories when he and the Giants face the Philadelphia Eagles in next Sunday's NFC divisional game.

Good for Hixon, not going out to get drunk in a strip club. Why not simply go out for a burger? Good man.

I was dissapointed to find out that applebee's specialty was not apple pies dipped in honey but crap diner food.

Jen Chung, you are the Bob Woodward of the 'sports news' world.
