Video: Warhol Meets Spielberg

While nothing will ever beat the Braniff Airlines commercials that Andy Warhol appeared in (video), a new clip of the artist is making its way around the internet this week. Here he is with Steven Spielberg, Bianca Jagger and a broken television (not shown: the cocktail of drugs that had to be consumed prior to this).

Allegedly he is speaking with Spielberg for Interview magazine at "an undisclosed hotel room."

Andy didn't take drugs. He was a health nut.

ha! starry you're joking right?

what kind of health nut would pack suitcases of candy bars with him?

andy denying his drug usage is just another facet of the brilliant persona he so masterfully created. andy was THE master manipulator.

Not only was Andy a health nut, he worked hard at his profession and was an earnest liberal Democrat, like about 90% of his fellow Manhattanites, and a practicing Roman Catholic as well. The manipulation was in leading people to believe he was some sort of an advanced wastrel, which I know you want to believe in and which no doubt helped him in business. But Andy was smart -- he employed other people to do the wastrel stuff for him.

He was smart indeed, but wildly over-rated as an artist. Let's get that straight.

Also, every loser in the sixties who ever worked for him for a friggin' day or two haven't moved on with their miserable lives and still need to cash in. It's pretty amusing to say the least. They should just have a separate category at Borders called "I worked with Andy here's my story". Jesus.
