Video: Kathy Griffin Did Say That On CNN

Kathy Griffin proved to be the perfect co-host yet again for CNN's New Year's Eve countdown coverage when she yelled back at a Times Square heckler. The self-proclaimed D-List comedienne, co-hosting with Anderson Cooper, was so fed up with someone (we're not sure if it was a man or a woman, but we hope he/she emerges!) that she yelled—on air— "Screw you. Why don't you get a job, buddy? You know what? I don't go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth."

The NY Post, which suggests that Griffin could be on CNN's S-list (ha!), says she was not available for comment, but noted that her fans were voicing their support on MySpace: "Best way to bring in a New Year EVER" and "Kathy, you can come to my job and knock the dicks out of my mouth anytime!!!! LOVE YA"

After the jump, some montages of Griffin and Cooper's coverage. And Entertainment Weekly's Popwatch was also amused by how Cooper "admit[ed] he can't properly pronounce double Ts, especially embarrassing as he lives in 'Manhadden.'" (P.S. Cooper's resolution is to blog more.)

This blog just keeps getting more and more boring and picayune.

Oh please, stop being so shocked by the comeback. The joke is an old one--and it applies equally to homo- and heterosexuals. Some jerk customer comes to you (whatever you do) and complains about your product (food, service, etc.), and you say..."Hey I don't show up at your place of work and knock the dicks out of your mouth." I've said that plenty of times (in my head at least). It works marvelously!

somebody close that center align tag please.

It was obviously a Times Square hooker joke, although Rudy got rid of them years ago when he turned Times Square into someplace for Midwesterners to be safe.

Plus, this is just more evidence that CNN isn't a news network anymore.

  • robingee

That's a really old heckler comeback.

  • Teddie Boy Eddie

Wait a second. While that is funny, I heard Eddie from the Supersuckers tell a heckler at one of their shows the same exact thing about 10 years ago.

Anything for attention: especially when you're an immature potty-mouth adolescent trapped in a middle-age female body, and a 4th rate comic at best.
