Seven Years Later, September 11: This year's remembrance of the World Trade Center attacks was a little more melancholy, because it was the last year mourners could venture into the "pit" before construction takes place at Ground Zero. The two presidential candidates also visited Ground Zero together and paid their respects. Beyond the memories, development progressed, though Mayor Bloomberg thought it was happening too slowly.
