Ajb384, I agree. I'm not always a fan of Cuomo, but he's consistently admonished terrible entities (such as AIG and student loan companies) and has at least attempted to hold them accountable, which is more than most politicians can say. I get the impression he actually gives a shit, and would love to see how his AG approach transitions to the role of senator.

While Kennedy might not be "bad," she certainly wouldn't dedicate the same level of energy as Cuomo. I'm also really put off by her entitled attitude; that in itself should automatically be grounds for disqualification.

Cuomo Jr. would be my choice. He's worked hard for it and he'll have to prove himself for two years before asking the voters for their approval. Ms. Kennedy is giving all the wrong signals and cannot be given such an honor just because of fame and promoting Obama early on.

If not appointed she won't bother to run for the seat in the future. Isn't that something! She just wants a free and easy way to establish a power base without having to meet and deal with people in those areas of New York State where they cling to their guns and religion.

Also, what's with the sweet puff interview? No questions on the Bush doctrine(s) or improperly decided Supreme Court cases? I would think that those would more pertinent for a would-be Senator than a a would-be VP. Oh, I see! Liberal interviewing liberal. Never mind.

Her family heritage includes alcoholism, drug abuse, fraud, philandering, manslaughter, rape and more than a touch of Anti Semitism.
Ms Kennedy has done good things and hopefully she will continue. The Senate seat that she now covets has to be earned and she has along way to go. She may be better off leaning on her mother's reputation instead of her patrimony.
