I'm also curious as to why they'd speak to the Times and to allow location photos. They had to figure that some idiot busybody with a Google Map and nothing better to do would out their location on a Gothamist comments board.

If the photos from the NYTimes article didn't make it so obvious that they were in Newtown Creek, then the reference to the stench of raw sewage would have. I commend these guys (and lady) for a bold living situation I wouldn't be so keen on tryng, but have to question their reasoning for doing the article. If you want to keep your home secret, don't talk to one of the most well known papers in the world. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too.
