Bubble Calendar Business Booming, Brooklynite Boasts!

122608bubblecalendar.jpgJust in time for 2009, here's the Bubble Calendar, which combines the joy of popping bubble wrap with the bitterness of watching your days pass by as guys like Stephen Turbek cash in selling crap you should have thought of yourself. Turbek tells the Daily News that his calendars, which require users to exercise restraint by popping just one bubble per day, are a "testament to the universal appeal of popping bubbles." Stupid idea, right? Maybe so, but Turbek, who makes the calendars at his home in Fort Greene, is getting stupid cash out of it; he says he's sold thousands of the calendars through his website for $30-$50 each!
