• From the Gothamist Newsmap: An armed robbery on 34th St and Broadway in Manhattan, a barricaded EDP on Quintard St on Staten Island and two pedestrians struck at 18th Ave & East 5th in Brooklyn.

• Lillo Brancato Jr.'s father is relieved about his son's murder acquittal and added that Lillo has never touched a gun, "He only hunts women."
• Speaking of Brancato, the NY Times looks at how the his and Lee Woods' juries had to deliberate the fate of men who were charged of killing cops—yet did not pull the trigger. One juror said the jury had trouble with the charges and that the judge didn't explain them in laymen's terms.
