I left north carolina for brooklyn a few years ago. sure rent is cheaper in the south but I dont have kids and would rather not pay 400 dollars a month to have a car.

The reason I relocated to Arizona is the same as stated in the above article. I was only able to basically survive back home, whereas before the economic downturn my standard of living increased exponentially!!

Isn't this essentially the same story Gothamist posted five months ago? These ex-New Yorkers will regret it when Atlanta declares a water emergency just about every summer from now on, as they did last summer.

The problem is that when NYers flee to other parts of the country, they tend to vote for politicians who enact the same policies that caused them to leave NY in the first place.
