The Bronx Zoo animals have been frolicking in the city's first substantial snow. Here are some photos of the furry ones, including a few shots of the adorable snow leopards. (You're welcome.) In other Bronx Zoo news: José the beaver is back for the holidays, after a year-long hiatus; they say he's even "chomped down his own Christmas tree."

Makes me want to be a snow leopard!
Superb! Makes the cold weather and icy sidewalks a little more bearable.
unless you went down to the zoo yourself and waited around and snapped these pictures in the cold, why are you saying "youre welcome"? it sounds very bratty. did you trek all the way in the snow to the zoo website?
@nyrangers—aw, come on, just enjoy the cute animals!
nyrangers is in the christmas spirit!!!
That snow owl looks surreal. I want one! Who! Who!
nyranger must be a blast to hang out with.
aweee,
So nice!!
Thanks for this post!
she already said you're welcome! you don't have to thank her! i am a blast to hang out with and i do not like the holidays.
THANK YOU JEN! You are sweet and understand the true meaning of christmas, unlike some meanies on this site.
How can someone not like Christmas?!!!
love the big cats (and the owl, bear, and jose the beaver). thanks, jen! happy holidays.
Although I hate snow, I do love seeing my puppies transform into "snow puppies" each winter.
Just another reason for all you to convert over to the fandom of the Philadelphia Flyers. Boo-yah, Merry Christmas.
Damn Nyrangers, what's your problem? I wouldn't have seen these pictures if I didn't come to this site, and I'm glad I did. Did you see that snow leopard's tummy? It's so cute.
its okay man nyranger's mom was mauled by a snow leopard that liked christmas
he's hated both ever since
great shots--thanks for putting them up.
