Megs, the redefinition of marriage argument has nothing to do with what people do behind closed doors.

ALL religious fanatics should stop peering into others' bedrooms, and seek to save their own hateful souls. What business is it of theirs, what consenting adults do behind closed doors with each other? Why is so much of their 'faith' centered on reproduction and sexuality?

ides, I really liked you comment. In Soviet Russia everyone also had same rights. For example a right to be a Communist.

For once, Felixthecat, I agree completely. I also would like people to STFU about this. Even Abraham Lincoln, who is credited with freeing the slaves, knew that you can't keep everyone happy all of the time. I'm sure there were a lot of people that did not own slaves or believe slavery was a good thing, who still hated him for his flagrant disregard of states' rights. Not to mention that he seemed to have no problem using the N-word. Yet somehow, he still went down as one of the greatest American presidents ever.

So, how about all of the groups that seem to enjoy complaining about any and every thing, just sit back and let President O do what he feels is necessary for the moment and wait until he fucks up something that matters before you voice your objections?

I guess people like Mrs Quinn that are upset about Obama's choice of Pastor weren't paying attention to the debates... Obama clearly stated that he opposes the redefinition of marriage.

Just create a cabinet level Department of Morality so these idiots can fight it out in an ugly, non-descript office building outside Washington with Legionnaire's Disease in the ducting.

eh--

The state senator in question is Reuben Diaz Sr. Reuben Diaz Jr., his son, is a Bronx assemblyman who is a bit more gay friendly (though that isn't saying much).

A clue for idiot Senator Diaz:

The issue is NOT "homosexual marriage". The issue is Rick Warren equates homosexuals to pedophiles and incest. Fostering such hate against a group of people goes against everything Obama and his "hope" message stood for. Turns out he was a FRAUD after all.

Ummm...what Senator Diaz seems to be preaching is tolerance for the intolerant. Bogus. He needs to go back and read some Malcolm X:

"“I believe in the brotherhood of all men, but I don't believe in wasting brotherhood on anyone who doesn't want to practice it with me. Brotherhood is a two-way street.”

Word.

Opposing gay marriage is not really a very controversial, out-of-the-mainstream position.

Opposing marriage for all--that's me--is. Mr Warren is not going far enough.

Or we can swing it the other way. Polygamy should be allowed. And let people marry pets. Who's to say what 2 consenting animals do. I like pigs best.

there is one reason and one reason only to make homosexuality and homosexual "marriage" (by the way, what is "marriage" anyway?) illegal...the reason? to fuse church and state into a religious theocracy...oh yeah, also to make medically induced abortions illegal...making the USofA into a religious theocracy is of course a violation of the US Constitution but only faggots and pussies care about constitutions...Rick Warren has only one agenda: the fusion of church and state into a religious theocracy...

What's Rev. Wright's position on gay marriage?
Probably not much different than Warren's.

Anyway, gay people have not been denied any rights - that's a flat out lie. They have the right to marry a person of the opposite sex, which is exactly the same right as anyone else.

It doesn't suit their particular lifestyle but that's an inconvenience not a denial of rights.

Enough with the drama queen hysterics.
